Working on it bud. What are you doing?

Troll or not it's a nice sentiment. I share it

Right now or in a broader sense?

It's not and I appreciate it.

Making up narratives in your head about how certain groups of people are losers is a sign of insecurity

I would know because I used to do it too

I get that you had good intentions with the post but it came off a bit rude to me at least

Also it's all anecdotal but in my experience sports people are the most normal ("doing alright") and people with interests more like ours tend to be a lot less of that.

You know, usually I'd agree, but the context under which I have these feelings is more empathetic or sad than when I intentionally conjure false narratives to make myself feel better about my own beliefs.

I don't have any other examples, but this feeling isn't exclusive to sport. One of my uncle's friends was a musician who never really took off in his career, and he'd talk about how the musicians did stuff in their day and how they managed to do this... and it probably made me feel more empathetically bad than anything I'd ever heard before.

Yeah that makes sense, fair enough

I think that's definitely true; sports have a broader appeal.

I watch basketball because its fun

I think your post is golden if you simply add "some" sports fans, instead of just sports fans

I am having Chinese food because the thread about it made me crave it. I hope you all have a wonderful day

the selection of Chinese food where I live now is not nearly as good as where I lived before (Victoria, BC)

It's not as good as what u can get there for the same money but it's still good in its own right

I spend like 12 hours per day doing shit i dont really want to do to progress my life and then this drug addict ■■■■■■ calls me an underachiever for talking about basketball
