I blame the deterioration of search engines.
I was bored of doing management stuff and being in the "backseat" always watching my guys play in tournies, so I switched to playing DotA 2 full time. Terrible decision, I should have kept it going, it could have been a legit successful org. I mean it already was. It could still be around today and probably at least paying my bills.
The problem is I thought I could have my cake and eat it too (I hate this phrase but it fits really well here), I was going to switch to DotA 2 and create the DotA 2 division, while simultaneously captaining the team and also helping run things in a limited capacity. I delegated all the shit I did (an unbelievable amount of work, way more than you'd think) to like 4 different people, and all of them together couldn't do what I did. So things just kinda fell apart, our few really elite mid-gm players left for more active teams and eventually the low GMs left, and so on and so forth. So eventually I just stopped paying for the website and added that note to the wiki.
I was like super young and super dedicated, and super good at what I was doing. But the idea of winning TI and being a DotA pro was too intoxitcating. I played a LOT of DotA 1 as a kid and was pretty decent I guess at it. So I had an inherent advantage, and I thought that + hard work would be enough, and it just wasn't.
