I thought i did understand and was arguing that describes how average people use the "big sites", to keep up with people they know and engage in niche/clique news/content sharing.
I mean my twitter feed is just FGC memes and combo clips.
Maybe facebook a bit, but the sites are meant to connect you to broad numbers of people, hundreds of millions.
There is a reason the Washington Post has a twitter account and isn't trying to post in my discord server.
