as are your opinions on social issues.

can you tell me why accepting a higher power should be a mandatory part of the program? in your own words

only when the front and back of the curve are the same text

i hate it when people with actual aspergers talk about social issues like they're able to have an opinion

@ian

is this about me voting for trump

its about you having actual aspergers

i have actual autism

Because the entire program is based off of spirituality and accepting that a higher power has a plan for you and wants you to succeed, and AA teaches you that your substance abuse issues are a symptom of your desire to control every little aspect of your life and admitting you are powerless over certain aspects and accepting of what you cannot control is literally required in order to emotionally mature enough to take part in the other aspects of the program?

no way

forcing people to submit to a higher power so they can access the actually helpful parts of the program (90% just opening up to strangers and hearing their stories) is unethical

its really neurotic to express such disdain for this train of thought

do you think that submitting to a higher power results mostly in negative outcomes?

I’m saying it’s not that big of a deal to just accept something in the entire universe has more control than you do and getting hung up on something as basic as a form of spirituality is just arrogant and stupid
