If you worked through step one with your sponsor and discussed with him your issues with god and spirituality I’m sure he could help you through it better than I could over and Internet forum
This is such a common thing your sponsor will mostly likely ask you about it before you even bring it up, it’s far more uncommon for someone to not have an issue with step one at all. Basically you’re not unique and the overlap between godless atheists and drug addicts/alcoholics is close to 100%

It’s almost as if a program that promotes honesty, integrity, and self reflection is open to honest discussions and criticisms with the goal of improvement of mental health for all involved
