Patching Schedule

Ah yeah that’s totally broken

At least I can click messages without navigating through tiny little menus though

But I need those buttons

:(

Can’t you just refresh or load another page

Why should I do that?

By the same reasoning can’t you just view your PMs under your avatar as they pop up there?

They aren’t there when I need them

Often I am responding to something old or just replying to whatever the latest thread with a particular person

And meanwhile my notifications are pushed out of that box pretty fast because people keep “liking” my posts

for whatever reason pressing the messages doesnt work but Show More atleast brings you to a place to press into them. Also using namafia.com/?mobile_view=0 will set your browser to act like a desktop and fix it but is really just a temp fix – it breaks other stuff like popups.

its also persistent, so if you use the above link, you have to turn it off by visiting the same page with a 1 at the end instead, or by opening the hamburger next to your avatar in the top right, and pressing “Mobile View” there.

I just want to disable it on mobile when it breaks. And it get more header room.

yeah i dont blame you. its really discourse’s fault for not officially supporting quick-messages, even tho its such a good plugin when it works.

A lot of the messages I send are not back and forth and thus never appear in notifications panel at all

why dont i just hide it for mobile devices with some CSS magic

it works just fine on desktop

i wouldnt know, the only notifications i get are likes or theyre months old and for already-resolved flags

not really complaining though, i loved seeing what bees had to handle back then. what a guy

Mobile device is the specific space where it is annoyingto navigate through menus

I don’t understand why you guys want to put any effort into hiding the thing when you can just not click it and it’s pretty much the same behavior for you

Why make css changes to hide the element when you can just close your eyes when its on the page

What I dont get is why you didnt just disable the flags sending notifications already (or disable flagging entirely)

it’s not like these features are ever going to actually be used for their intended purpose on this site

im not trying to lecture you i dont even use notifications and thats something im highlighting here. ive never touched a notification from that dropdown or used it to open a message, ive only used the quick-messages app for that and i really like it.

Which scheme is that? Amber?
