It’s not. It’s like everything. The current landscape has cultivated the pseudo intellectualism in everything and you can enjoy things and not be stupid about it. Like for example, learning about philosophical history and finding Philosophers that you like that hopefully extends beyond stoicism. Altho ppl like plasma would def eat Marcus Aurelius up
It’s not Really useful but not everything needs to be optimized for utility. You’re a utilitarian because it works for you. People can have niche hobbies that produce 0 value. You (or everyone) should just learn to differentiate between the two (pseudo and normal intellectual) when you consume content or talk to people

You realize even your own interests and career choices have inherent philosophies to them and by virtue of sharing your philosophies, you’re not very separated from the psuedointellectual you hate.
