The game you are talking about is Legion Commander Mafia by Electrowizard - I remember it extremely vividly, the lighting in my room, the weather, and everything along with it.
What happened - and @deepthroat can confirm this - is that I was banned on my main account from that game, so I made an alt account ('retorik') and signed and got in.
At the same time, One Friend - not two - signed the game, also known as "Big-Benny" (account name 'CooperativeCandle1'), Notjones was also in this game but he wouldn't be considered an External friend here.
Notjones did not know that I was in the game under the name retorik and spilled the mafia list to me after he died (without me asking for it).
After that the retorik account was banned I believe - before I had a chance to get lynched or night killed, and was promptly zeused.
A day later - two days later - Benny was lynched. After his hammer; He asked me who mafia were, and I replied with the list since I knew it from NotJones. I told him that the day has ended and he shouldn't post anymore to avoid breaking the rules, but regardless he posted it and that's that.
Your story is clearly sensationalized and exaggerated and it's just sad how Ignorant you are especially with how this stuff was all over the forum at the time.

This story is entirely true. I don't think nma did anything wrong: Benny fucked up big though. He was hammered, asked nma for scum, nma gave it to him because he believed Benny wouldn't post after hammer (as I had asked players specifically not to do as I knew I wouldn't be around that evening to end the day since I was at a show), then Benny posted the scumlist nma gave him

If you think about it, it’s impossible to cheat in Mafia if no one trusts each other. All information can be fabricated, in and out of game. In fact, with each passing game I trust each of you less. I doubt I can even trust the host of the game for that matter.

still not cheating per se but i now believe the two mutually rulebreak and generally play not primarily to win or even have individually good games but mainly to grief people and sow discord

I remember it cuz ewiz and I talked about it ni graveyard chat. Some goyboy was playing terribly, and as soon as he got hammerd he named all the scum.

We didn’t talk about it in graveyard, I talked to you about it in scum chat. Scum never got lynched and I wasn’t sure what to do whene he outed the scum list so I asked for all of your opinions
