No matter how much your u disagree with the plan, if no one follows it no shit it won't work. Basically what I learned from my stint in the scene. You just have to trust your teammates in the moment. You can reflect and discuss after. In the moment you just gotta do it or no shit it won't work. You don't need a team of individuals tbh. You need a team doing the same game plan.
the inflection point is having good followers who know when it's the right time to chime in. good plans have audibles built in and you can't see everything as one human so having disciplined communication just gives you more options as long as it doesn't overload the leading voice
getting the right mix of self initiative with subordination is impossible but getting close to it requires trust on both sides
if arteezy is kicked from EG Iβd like to see him join QC, especially because he plays the same way yawar does only at a higher level
- arteezy
- ccnc
- leslao or saberlight
- mss
- DuBu, maybe ppd
SVG to coach
i actually think DuBu would be better than ppd for this team
i just want ppd to come back. i honestly really like him in the scene and i think his drafting is great,
i dont really know anything about his leadership ingame but i remember one thing that always stood out to me was the discipline the team had while he played. they really worked as a unit instead of random walking around the map
exactly. its what ive always found when playing games. 1 leaders who have final say.
in dota its a lot of split second decisions. you cant just have 3 ppl arguing about which play is best.by the time u argue it out the opportunity is over. u need 1 person to say move and they move.
if it didn't work out then discuss it after move forward.
but watching rtz walk in, bkb, and eclipse then die while the rest of EG are retreating is just bad fucking play.
Yea I'm in that wave length. It's not always all big team fights there are smaller plays that you don't need an overlord.
But I can recall vivid scenes when I was on eosin+4 where we just listened to each other. Even if I said something dumb Or terry said let's go mid and gank when our overall game plan was stacking camps or rune rotations. Idk it's hard to balance. But 5 lone wolfs isn't the best
But my only point was there is no room for argument in the game. You can discuss plans a bit but the end of the day someone has to pull the trigger and everyone has to execute even if you hate the plan.
the problem is I think ppd is quite bad at managing team morale and after enough time nobody seems to want to play with him any more
DuBu is an excellent drafter, creative, and also very upbeat and completely opposite ppd in terms of morale
I just remember going on a mythic quest with ppd and dabel? The stump dude. For pizza at Columbus.
Seeing ppd with a good team would be nice but I think that ship has sailed
Your team def needs a mood maker. That is not the leader. Just someone filling the void pumping people up.
My team didn't have a solid one. Was hard to comeback sometimes. Morale plumets people play bad. I tried. But guanzo was quiet. Terry hated everyone I think it just me. Wasn't eosin he tried a lot tho. KvH was good at it a bit.
dubu is a mood maker, good moods too
Don't know him so hard to say. Unless you in comms hard to know
he streams a lot you can see what type of person he is
never rages and very pma, also very high skill, hit 11k mmr as pos 5. creative and good drafter
heβa a step up from SVG
I mean if streaming team games vs streaming ladder. I'm not gonna watch. I just know the difference in environment.
well his former teammates all say the same about him
That's good to know
