i watched a good amount of dubu games. he didnt seem bad, but definitely didn't seem good.
additionally undying had pretty big draft issues throughout.
i dont think theres even a question whether dubu is better than ppd at captaining
disagree, I think considering the talent level of Undying DuBu has taken them extremely far
with a lesser captain I don’t think they’d even sniff TI let alone have such a good group stage
Not sure if dubu is the captain. But my only 2c is the captain is not the team mood maker from my experience. Anyone telling you different is only people watching winning games

this team has a few 1st place finishes in tournaments, made it further than undying in the international they played in
pajkatt was hella washed at that pointed, ccnc was just a pubstar who kinda sucked ass, 33 was new blood and is a nobody now
then theres zai and ppd supporting.
i genuinely do not think you can really compare dubu to ppd at all
imo that team is way more stacked than undying

iirc that team had a lot of draft wins because 33s unconventional "pos 1 from offlane" playstyle allowed ppd to outdraft a decent amount of teams who didnt know exactly how to deal with it because it wasnt common at the time
kinda analogous to golden age bulldog "pos 1 from offlane" while s4 played "pos 3 from mid"

i stand by them being more talented than undying, also disagree with your assessment of pajkatt
sumail was also an unproven pubstar before EG won DAC and ti5
it was clear that a super talented pubstar when given a very experienced veteran captain can shine right away
we saw this with miracle too
