lifts the cover of her book to give Matticus a view. It reads:a quick history on the Jarls of Skyrim
Oh yeah there were jarls in skyrim werenāt there
This does seem strong that no game events have to take place until he executes.
Well, I mean, none that town would necessarily be aware of.
I do so propose that captain claims and jails someone. We can use the ti/ts accordingly.
Hey guys the Vikings won. I was at the game cosplaying as a jarl.
Can you stop trolling? Thereās players in this game who would read this post then actually do it
Iām serious. Unless you donāt play much tos, you should know that this strategy is heavily town favored. The maul is slight different than pyro and can agree to work with town(?) but the maul is the reason we might need to utilize this strategy. Iām not sure how the interactions will work between captain and maul (invest vs maulās targeting ability triggering a bodyguard (they recently patched that out in tos to give pyro more of a chance)
Nonetheless captain can jail king and ti/ts coop and we will narrow down the scum pool for sure in 1 night even.
Iām gunna have to clarify with the host how detaining will work obviously because if detaining doesnāt grant immunity (which Iām thinking it doesnāt) then we donāt want to use that strategy. I was not initially thinking of it, but without knowing how roles interact etc itās a possibility until rora defines it.
If we donāt claim captain, we can decide a target and have ti follow king, or we could even have bodyguard claim, target king, and ti can watch bodyguard while captain jails a target we think is worthwhile.
I thought captain was a sheriff, not a jailor
Itās a half assed jailor because he has roleblock abilities.
Half jailor half sheriff.
Or maybe more aptly an undercover prostituteā¦ yes.
Iām going off the assumption that every aspect of the role is mentioned in the role PM (which means the detained person wouldnāt have immunity). In that case the captain is more of a sheriff + escort and doesnāt really have any aspects of a jailor
also, unlike tos, the bg doesnāt appear to actually kill the attacker. so if the captain claims I think this will happen:
-bg will be on captain, because captain is the most valuable role
-mafia attacks captain, killing the bg (with pretty much no consequences unless the tracker guy guesses right)
-mafia attacks captain (with pretty much no consequences unless the tracker guy guesses right)
ill probably have another read-through of the roles to see if this is actually the case though
Oh, good points. Very weak without the kill. But that almost makes it so that captain should claim and ti and ts need to both be on him hang on Iāll have to go through the days a bit on that one but Iāve got to get back to work.
by ātiā im assuming you mean the tracker guy, but the tracker guy doesnāt watch what happens to someone, he watches what someone does
I realize that some of you are very familiar with Town of Salem and all, but can we please just discuss the roles as they are defined this game as I find this conversation super confusing.
When you say immunity, do you mean immunity to kills? Why would it? Itās not stated in the role text.
basically I was just saying that the captain shouldnāt detain me as jones was suggesting as it wouldnāt protect me in any way afaik
If āJonesā is attempting to help town, itās not really helping since if the rules differ then these town-favored game solves probably donāt work and are just misleading people.
