ewiz has been playing very poorly this game, not sure why. it's fairly reasonable also to assume there is a protective role that would go with the easy option of protecting the IC.
i agree on both points the trouble is putting them together increases the likelihood of ian being scum
if ewiz were a normal useful player this game then protecting him would be the default no-brainer play
but by eod1 we had a basically confirmed (soon to be fully confirmed as it turns out) town PR who is more active and useful and has extra utility to town
so from the mafia standpoint in that situation bazinga is the kill, not ewiz.
i'm just repeating myself at this point but either ian has a protective role and just thoughtlessly went on ewiz n1 without reacting to the state of the game, or he is not a protector
and he isn't telling us what he did n1

Not to imply there's a doctor type role in this game but if there were then double KP may penetrate it from my experience
so: 2 mafia teams, a town aligned protective role that nullifies 1 kill a night which can be effectively vetoed by both mafias agreeing on the same kill
