Forgot to mention that people who will be helping me develop plugins will have the most pimped names. Dunno what it’ll be (prolly emboldened gold) but the three who have offered to help develop with me are godsends and they deserve the praise. ■■■ this website layout is legit and i like the design. i might look into some kind of implementation of 4chan like reply-structures in the future since i think that's the best kind of reply following in one-page threads.

Not having pagination is fine but i’m still unsure of how the timeline bar on the right will operate in really large threads. Is there a limit on number of posts in a thread?

yeah, if you set up the dev discourse and follow the plugin guide with it you could definitely help. theres a lot of different functions that would be good for the site that should be implemented via plugin but we shouldn’t put it all in one bulky piece of shit. if people follow through ideally we’d get to the point where we could all develop plugins together and learn off eachother, and would make making whatever we want way easier.
its a wip. i got a board in the lounge labeled developers i was gonna add ppl to as they get back to me about getting ready to develop. I’m working on some different wiki shit just to temp manage useful links and big&small planned plugins before we move them to some relevant thread later.

There’s already that. Click on your avatar that says I replied to you. It’ll open up the post on top of mine, with an arrow that will link you back up to your original one.

Yeah I’m assuming you’re on desktop so the ui looks deceptively simple but trust me there’s a bunch of shit. If you think somethings missing it probably isn’t and if it still is either discourse refuses to support it or there’s probably a way to implement it that just isn’t open sourced or well documented and well get around to prioritizing it

It only goes 1 reply deep. I tried following the reply thread from me to you and back but you can only look at one reply and not multiple. I don’t know if that would be alright interface-wise though

Yeah, it goes one reply deep, so you click the up arrow to go back to my reply, see what I replied to, and work your way up the chain. Going further than one reply deep works fine for an imageboard, but with all the markup and stuff, it’d get very messy on a forum like this. Chaining the way up is the better solution

Yeah I think one thing that’s missing is the ability to like jump to replies (kinda like 4chan x). Ideally there’d be a bacjlink at the bottom. But these are things you should make a thread for in site feedback so we can do a little research, estimate it and figure out when it’s worth tackling

There is one. At the bottom of a post that’s been replied to, it’ll say “x replies.” You can expand that, it shows the reply, and you can hit the arrow to jump to that post.
