its just cis people exploring their sexuality and discovering they're not actually trans. then saying how much they hate trans people lmao
You guys don't seem to be that tolerant of differing perspectives
ya just want ot make them feel good in the moment, ya aint thinking about their long term benefit when you think hormones gonna magically fix them.
The real joke here is slowdive thinks i'm trolling him but actually i'm 100% serious
Respecting different perspectives means you listen to the perspectives of people you don't agree with, even if those perspectives aren't in line with the current prevailing "right" opinion/ moral high ground
If we have a responsibility to listen to people who say they were born as the wrong gender we also have a responsibility to listen to people who say the encouragement/ "yass queen" mentality ended up hurting them in the long run and they would have liked if things had been more rational and less tribalistic
Another hot take coming thru:
A lot of people use their gayness / non-binariness or their aggressively "right" opinions about these topics to conceal the fact that they are actually being total cunts
Example: I saw this interview with a couple where she discovered she was gay and divorced him after many years of marriage and maybe kids
It was clear he was understanding and supportive but basically devastated. He'd been emotionally hung out to dry
Meanwhile she came across exceptionally smug and seemed to almost find him funny. Like she'd discovered the great truth of the universe was that she was gay and thus permanently and retroactively Right about everything.
In reality she still burned the fucking guy and all he could do was sit there and be "supportive"
Basically what I am saying is I see these weirdos as human beings and you see them as tools to signal your political and ethical superiority to people
lgbtq people are a celebrated minority in the west so its understandable. finding the right balance between putting them on a piedestal and stoning them to death is a bit tricky i suppose
I think it starts with not seeing them as their label and not encouraging them to see themselves that way
there's no known therapy/medicine/cure for gender dysphoria atm i think. being trans is literally the only thing that mends the suicidal thoughts, a bit, i think
jesus christ
yeah its really tricky. developing an identity beyond their label would be dope but how do you encourage that without being an asshole?
tell them the truth.
gay dont make you special. they either get mad or agree, and if they agree, you ask them what else makes them them. It starts the motion. if they get mad they are beyond help and want gay to be their identity.
being gay does make you special though, they make up only 3% of the pop. what if they live in a place thats hostile towards them? Theyre gonna seek comfort where they can, and theyre gonna see that safety with others like them or their cause or whatever
in Russia and China the gays do not exist. There are no gay people. Explain this to me you dumb faggot Americans.
Idk what’s wrong with you Americans
Special? I'm sure we can take the world pop of dota players, and bam dota players are now special. The only thing making gays and their behavior SPECIAL is because we put it on a pedastol and even POLITICIZED IT. Gays are being used for political gain.
There’s nothing special about being gay, anybody can take a dick, I think about taking dick regularly and I’m not even gay
Taking a dick is the easy way out
