They should release video if they have it but being violent doesn't justify him dying. Officers should be more concerned for the well-being of the people they are supposedly serving and protecting, they should be trained to de-escalate, and there should be no knees on backs and necks.
I would bet they are not releasing video because they are using it as evidence in a criminal trial. But I think releasing the video now is in the public's interest if it has new information.

Really hoping they do release the footage because there was a lot of talk about that footage actually showing more than just chauvin using excessive force as they got to the car and “inside” the car
(The narrative surfacing to take blame off the officers was that he was resisting arrest/being put in the car but the video from the businesses showed no resistance, the only video left to make that claim credible was the bodycam, to my knowledge, but there was some talk circulating that the bodycam evidence would be worse for the cops because witnesses said they just beat him up putting him in the vehicle and then pulled him out)
