No, dipshit, the argument is that Dems winning elections while shifting to the right will, y'know, make them keep shifting to the right.

Wanna explain how the US judiciary works now?

I’ll take Biden packing the courts over a literal fascist dictator thanks

Learn to read, dumbfuck. Biden won't pack the courts. That's the fucking issue. Handing an election to a Dem that's right of the last one means we never move left and fix the actual issues

I don't think anyone's GE vote is moving anyone on anything. I think it is pretty clear that primary challenges and narrow issue focused organizations have proven the most effective on moving things. Not voting to bring about change is...nevermind lol

This doesn't really work when the DNC dumps shitloads of money and engages in other tactics to make sure the establishment candidate wins the primary. They work on a congressional level (sometimes), but not a national level.

Most of the country don’t even want shit to drastically change

I mean, it has worked though. There are significantly more dems that hold positions and support policy far preferable to before. Primaries and focused organizations have done that. Yeah it aint bringing world peace and eradicating poverty, but it is preferable. I don't think withholding votes in a GE has accomplished anything.

There has been a significant shift on issues (not all) in the last couple decades. Compare Howard Dean's "radical" proposals to what is "radical" now and it's hilarious.

Yes, but none of the last 3 Democrat presidential candidates have supported any of that

That just isn't true. Patient protections, for example. The affordable care part is wack, but patient protections, a policy not supported before but is now vehemently supported, is FAR preferable. I hate to say it and get all personal about it, but it also saved my legs.

big fan of having legs here

Not a leg guy more of a neck guy tbh
