Actually I think they made renewing your DL piss easy too, you just go to a website to do it. I remember in 2013 they had kiosks at the DMV you could do it at without even seeing anyone at a booth

Yeah that’s not a renewal dude that’s a completely different thing. You’re talking about when you buy a car for the first time and you need to transfer the title/registration to your name and they make you get a smog check. I’ve done that shit too. Once you get that done you just renew online
But keep in mind that’s only if you do a private sale. Buy a car from the dealership and they handle all that shit for you
i know what e-check is and that is not the safety inspection, both of which are YEARLY

My mistake here’s my next piece of advice, go to a dealership and buy a brand new car with a 3 year warranty and if they say anything at these annual inspections just tell them it’s covered by a warranty and you’ll bring it to the dealership
