Trump tweets on twitter: We are going to put 20% tariffs on China. The Intellectual Elite come out and say that would destroy the economy, Trump is so stupid, and so on, and you come here to talk about it with that perspective.
If you take this at face value you would be right. Trump is so crazy. He said something crazy on twitter. Let's have our intelligentsia analyze the effects of what he proposed as if it's a serious policy proposal
However. If you listen to Thiel interviews, he says: I don't know if those tariffs are realistic but you can't have the person negotiating your international trade start from the losing position of we can't have any tariffs. Regardless of where you end up, you want the negotiator to start from the position Trump expressed on Twitter.
Then you see that people on Twitter (including Trump and Elon) are just spewing dumb shit. Think of it like you're in a mafia game and Faz just claimed cop and called out his top scumread as an outed mafia. Maybe it's real. Maybe it isn't. Maybe it's not true but he said it for some purpose and there is some grand plan behind all of it. Just as often, it isn't - maybe the guy is making shit up for attention.
In all of this the biggest idiot is the guy following every tweet saying "Actually, CNN has proven that Faz is not the cop this game." He has completely missed the actual point of what's being said, the actual game being played.
You are wasting your intellectual and emotional bandwidth following this stuff.
To understand trump: infer what you believe he may be saying
"Why would Faz claim cop if he didn't want us to think he was actually the cop?"
