I should add that duck can be really awful when it’s not done right. In Hong Kong the Pizza Huts there are like these pretty nice looking restaurants with fancy menus, but the food despite it’s elaborate presentation was disgusting.
I don’t normally eat at Pizza Hut but the novelty of one dressed up as a fine dining establishment was funny and alluring to me. Anyways I think I had duck confit or some shit there and it was so awful I couldn’t eat it because I thought I was going to get bird flu.
If you cook a skin on duck breast with salt and pepper then a skin on chicken breast with salt and pepper, the duck is gonna be leagues ahead.
They have different applications in my opinion. Like you’re not gonna get buffalo duck wings, but buffalo chicken wings goddamn.

Ducks and geese are a bit harder to raise happily than chickens. There’s a good reason to pursue chicken over other fowl in terms of environmental impact - raising it yourself etc.
Hey but California did a great service expanding meat lot space requirements for animals such as pigs and cows while reverting chicken space back to smaller amounts. Good looking out! We don’t even really do a lot of meat pigs out here… yeah, make sure you vote! Save the animals!!!

there’s a french restaurant by walt disney concert hall that prolly has a good duck confit. I’ll probs go there/try it out next time i go to the symphony

idk if meming or not but i agree. i try to not eat a lot of meat cuz environmental impact
