Also I'm American. We contribute 70% to NATOs budget when they sit on their ass and everyone expects us to intervene first for it when clearly there are plenty of non armed needs and us shipping our army overseas has been questionable in recent history
As an American why would I support this
Sure our Gdp and army our bigger but pretty much any country could aid Ukraine in a number of ways. If anything NATO just adds a layer of gridlock beauracracy when nations would be better incentivized to help more if they had full autonomy (which isn't always the case but applies when the overarching thing isn't doing anything to meet the incentive that is Helping fight communism)
