wait i love this
one forum like = 1 dkp.
fuckkkkkk ima no life this game its gonna be so bad and so good at the same time
unless they add sharding thats gonna be a dealbreaker for me.
i HOPE theyâre smart enough to realise how that would go, but this company recently tried to hype up a cellphone game at Blizzcon so nothing would suprise me anymore
i like totally where they are coming from with the âmaybe sharding on launch but no sharding afterâ
i like completely disagree with it but i get where they are coming from. i think if theyâre worried starting zones are gonna SUCK right on launch, a better solution would be to just shard each starting zone and nowhere else. still think that wouldnât be the move but i think itâd be better than sharding in general for a bit of time on game launch.
its gonna be a shit show trying to tag mobs right a launch, but having persistent people in your server around you is what makes wow great and fucking with that is such a risky move.
they can make more than one server and merge them down the line as they die down, i dont think sharding is necessary
i could live with it for the first week but if theres sharding in STV or outside of Blackrock Mountain weâre gonna have issues
oh god i didnât even think about how sharding would just completely ruin zones like STV
i can completely understanding sharding in like lvling areas, if they go with like x number of servers at launch - like nobody wants to fight over a tag for a lvl 6 mob on a 3 minute respawn timer.
But anything after that point is shit, give us what the players want
anyone know if hunters in vanilla were trash (in pve) or if that was just a common misconception back then?
lots of people online are like âhunters werent trash just hard 2 play wellâ but from what i remember they were a class for gold farmers and lvl 19 twinks.
nobody really seems to explain what âplaying wellâ means as a hunter tho.
if by pve you mean raiding, theyâre not great. rotation sucks ass, lots of pet QoL came in tbc so vanilla pets ahve some issues, and theyâll always be good not great dps (of course, we now definitely know you donât need great dps for like anything in vanilla). Youâll always need a couple for tranq shot, but otherwise theyâre just ok
before a lot of addons made it easier, not clipping your aimed shot rotation was a bit of a pain so im guessing thats what they meant by play well? i think itâs more that back when everyone sucked ass, a lot of people could make it farther with hunter than with a lot of other classes before needing to figure the game out, since soloing most content is trivial.
ill almost definitely be playing one
