i'd argue it's a harder explanation, but it could be theoretically more statistically likely
fact is though we don't know what the chances are and won't for hundreds of years until we get way, way better space telescopes
More specifically, people dont seem to comprehend that low chances multiply and quickly approaches an impossible number
Yeah i imagine stopping a school shooting or winning the lottery all the time
all we can see right now are distant stars and galaxies, at some point we'll be able to look directly at and study PLANETS, all of them, except of seeing the vague outline of stars we'll be seeing crystal clear HD live feeds of the planets. and then we'll be able to work out how common life is, what the parameters are for it to exist, etc.
and this will not be possible until we find a way, I guess, to send information through wormholes in real time (which we've actually already done on a tiny, tiny scale)
there are 400 billion stars in the milky way and 2 trillion observable galaxies but you know it could be dolphins and dolphins can't use a forklift so checkmate
Have you guys heard of the game "Outer Wilds"? It's quite possibly the greatest sci-fi space/alien narrative in video game history.
I liked it a lot.
I'm sorry but if you think this is "fascinating" or "insane" you're a bit of a midwit.
This is like saying "It's insane that gravity pulls everything to the ground". Grow up.
Both of these are 100% fallacious arguments and anyone that purports them is retarded.
Yes thats why i said paralell universes are a gay copout
Every answer other than the truth is a gay copout, and the truth IS out there.
You have lost the plot
The aliens are walking among us right now but our earthling senses can't detect it.
God these 80s movies had the weirdest and best soundtracks LMAO
Goddamnit John Carpenter, I'm trying to be scared, I'm not trying to groove right now!
What does that have to do with me calling the fermi paradox stupid
I agree
