You can’t even trade cards between friends lmfao
I dont know if you guys saw but you get tickets for hitting certain number of wins in draft (similar to how hearthstone arena works - win enough and your next play is effectively free)
It’s a valid question to ask what a casual competitive player is going to have to spend on this game (eg are you buying tickets every time you want to play the game) and I’m with you on hoping it isnt just cancer
Yeah I wonder what thinking went behind this one.
You can’t criticize their thinking and the structure of the game until you’ve seen it in action
That’s not true.
This game is a CCG (Capitalism Card Game).
Yeah sorry it’s obvious this pricing is a way to make the most money out if it. Making a virtual tcg is a cool idea but it’s fucking horrible in practice. There’s a reason mtgo was extremely off putting to anyone who didn’t already play magic.
They’re double dipping by requiring you to give a substantial amount of money to play the game and then tax their own market lol. It’s like if wotc took 10% of every card traded between people lmfao
I get the criticism but I belong to the wait and see line of thinking
Im waiting too - if what reddit say is true (Free draft mode with no cards/pack prizes - I haven’t seen any sources for this though) then it’s fine.
It’s likely not true though.
Yeah I think that’s not true. You can see Phantom Draft listed right there and it costs a ticket
The bigger question is can tournament hosters use a free phantom draft or not
If they can you can essentially play draft at any time, just against people with ??? Skill level
Q. Who can host a tournament? Who can join?
Anyone can host a tournament! When you create a tournament, you can choose to invite individual friends or share an open public invitation. At launch, user-created tournaments don't support prizes or entry fees.
This is what reddit are talking about yeah.
Anyways game will suck because its about Axe and BladeMail
I’m 90% sure their current imagining of the game is that any of these “casual constructed”/tournament modes they have on offer are using your own cards or using their “deck lending” system
I think the game’s saving grace price-wise will be that all its cards will be on the market for like 3c ea
I don’t want to buy cards I just want to draft like in MTG. Whatever. Just waiting for now…
I like the Gwent system
I dont like any game where you have to pay for cards but that dream is dead
It’s not like it costs these fuckers money to manufacture these things lol
You think artifact will go on christmas sale?
