It clearly isn’t very good play and people have always been free to make stupid plays and do weird shit without someone telling them they aren’t “playing in the spirit of the game”
Im working on a bot that calls you scum, then it says it isoed you and its VERY sure youre the flip
There really wont be any analysis going on its just playing day 1 like a top tier player

I really have to get over wanting to start new ironic projects over finishing shit, MafiaGodBot will have to wait

Working on ironic joke projects is the best way to build skills and POCs which will then be discarded with no explanation once you start to apply earnest effort to them

We need major change to the way bot works in order to do this smartly but I have decided doing things smartly is going to move to the bottom of the list of priorities
Sequential order of tasks:
- Build thing
- Make decision about how thing should be built
- Coordinate with site’s Tech Leads on overall structure, needs, and approach to building thing

I’d play mafia but too many of our fragile ego posters play that I’m not sure they could handle me playing and instantly stopping all top player discussions.
Plus everytime I visit the site most mafia threads have 150+ new msgs too much for me ( at least when I was paying attention to them a few months ago)
yeah game threads are like that now because of how easy it is to submit a post and the fact that we dont have any rules for posting multiple times in a row. also the live shit showing u peoples responses makes it really easy to get caught up in any conversation, which is nice but creates a ton more posts to go through.
i just skim and miss out on plenty of details but still do okay. plus discourse makes it really easy to ISO (individually read) a player, so i use that to make sure i reread players before i make any decisions.
I think we should run different activity level games (like blitz or low activity game) but this idea hasn’t taken off yet
