valve cinematic universeeeeeee *soyface
Did it. Finally a respectable rank after a series of entirely not-respectable games
I think this is like ~4k from the days when I used to play dota. If average player is like 3k range, the crappy ones at like 3.2 and your friend who was always decent but doesnt really try at 3.7 (Deadlock Archon equivalent)
Then 4k/Goat Rank is like you grind it out and actually know how to improve. If you keep grinding you can go 5k and start getting pros in your games
Unfortunately for me it's time to stop grinding as video games are just terrible for my life. Stealing my sunshine
Just one more game tho
If I was going to grind more I would practice zipline + airstrafe + walljump lateral rotations between inside and outside lanes
I noticed top players are doing this now and it has a crazy high impact, you can almost instantly be in another lane
HMC tech is a red herring honestly, deadlock movement is all crazy it just needs practice
Too competitive and complicated for its own good…
I was gonna say they dont know how to make games fun (tf2 and dota communities grew out of people fucking around in goofy custom lobbies, you have to start from fun social interaction not from ranked competitive ladders)
But actually maybe their rollout strategy just sucks. The big spike of players is when they went to the invite-only beta. If they made it an open beta on steam around 2nd week sept that plateau could have continued up and there would be a steady flow of new players. But if they left it invite-only, of course it would slowly run out of players and fail. They need a new boost now but seems like it will be a completely different game by the time that happens. The content creator types already tried it and moved on to the next flashy thing.
when i played tf2 i jumped into comp after a couple dozen hours idk
The truth is that video games cant compete with tiktok
The only way you can make a good game anymore is to augment reality.
You can make the most in depth and compelling universe possible. The player will still be watching tiktoks when they get bored. Or cat videos
You're a weirdo
Speak for yourself.
Tf2 comp didnt even exist in its peak unless you mean you played ugc after 24 hours in game which would just be bizarre
I dont have tiktok and i only watch cat videos my girlfriend sends me
To be completely honest there are a lot that she sends me that i dont even watch.
i mean yeah i played all that shit ugc twl esea i never really had any fun in the high player-count game modes but highlander was fun to pug. i was already on gotfrag though thats a whole different story
What was that pug website people played on that came out in like 2009? I remember playing on that
games are just like this now it sux
tf2.lobby maybe
