the mental picture of any of you actually sitting down somewhere typing to me makes me quite uncomfortable now that i think about it
btw in response to this question if there was a vaccine right now with no other information other than the fact that the government approves of it i would go for X = 0.1% minimum, perhaps higher. 10% chance of getting covid, 1% chance of further complications.
not saying these percentages are actually probabilities-- they arent since i have very little information. they are like, random highly uncertain guesstimates. but its better than doing nothing since im making a decision either way.
id probably put chance of contracting covid at some point much higher than that
The way you constantly fixate on āburning down buildingsā
so do we agree burning down buildings in the fight against white privilege is not worth it? maybe only a few buildings? maybe not yours but only ones belonging to businesses?
my point isnt even that i think burning down buildings is not worth it. im saying that most people think burning down buildings is not worth it. ewiz thinks its worth it though, in the fight against the State.
please feel free to elaborate on the extent of violence that is worth it. i draw the line somewhere behind burning down buildings. do you agree?
It's more than just that. Ewiz and his ilk will actively work against productive progressive change within the system because they want the only solution to be burning the system down.
There isn't even really a coherent and unified vision of what happens after you burn the system down. They just want to be violently opposed to things in general and resist positive changes/positive people if they don't 100% conform to the ideology.
ewiz andhis milk? what?
Capitalism is predicated on having an underclass that can be exploited to accumulate more value for the capitalists. It doesn't function without this. Mailing checks will never solve the issue.
what if the underclass is robots
this is like saying that communism doesnt work because it relies on a tyrannical dictator making bad decisions.
Lol, no. Look at mass incarceration of the black population in America. We're at the same level of scale.
No, it literally doesn't. Communism relies on a dictatorship of the proletariat as a transitionary state, which is not a sole authority but collections of unions from all industries and production mechanisms. Vanguardism relies on something more akin to a dictator.
yes. similarly, you are strawmanning capitalism.
is capatalismt good r bad?
I think the majority of people are captivated by the whole social media thing and wanting to do the right thing in the face of police violence and racism - which to them means support this movement
And then there's a very small minority of people who are actively destructive and violent, and are pushing the actual direction of the movement further toward violence and totalitarianism - as you've said hopefully these people are monitored by the FBI.
like jdance said-- what if the underclass is robots? the real reason capitalism might collapse is that workers are going obselete, not that they are being exploited. we must mail checks to useless people. yang 2020.
what if the underclass is jewish peoplem
what if BLM accidentally burns down a jewish businessowner's property
