People love to reference that study 10-15 years ago where if you made the name on the resume Jamal or Tyrone you would get less callbacks from employers for interviews, well try it now with a normal white guy name and I guarantee you it’s the same thing, if you’re a white male you’re getting far less interviews than anyone else. The best part is if we just made everything equal, removed all names, gender, or any other identifying feature white people would still end up over represented in everything.

My black friend just got into the hardest residency program in the country. he is truly cracked at what he does and I couldn't muster up half of what he can. He is still in debt despite whatever handouts he's given. He may be possibly whitewashed, but that's irrelevant because it supports my initial argument that people are more than skin tones. An anecodtal argument like yours but atleast one that supports my side

Hiring or accepting people in a social situations just toally different from the initial argument of "why are these races in a bad position in the first place and are we actually giving them equal playing field or simply humoring then and their liberal friends and meeting monetary incentives by hiring for diversity. Does this actually help them recover as a racial whole? Does it fix the disparity caused by gentrification, a lack of initial footing, etc
