They already do (not to mention offshore capital) and I do agree on some level, which is why I advocate for the USgov not wasting so much money so they can afford to provide some of this middle class support I describe.
No, you've just never experienced true capitalism.
Huh, the middle class is shafted because of globalization, sending manufacturing and essentially any job that can be done to countries where you can pay employees below US min. Wage with 0 benefits is what fucked the middle class more than anything
Opening up a business in the US is still a lot better than almost any European country due to tax laws
We have entered Schumpeter's "managerial phase"; it is some zombified industry where creative destruction is effectively dead.
Going further, within modern discourse, "war" is always bad. There is no potential for it to be good. But there are numerous states (and peoples) who would be better off if a better run country invaded and took over.
Europe is a land full of a wealthy upper class of elites and a mass of peasants who pay $7 a liter for gasoline while they drive 3 cylinder vehicles with the lowest displacement possible to save a buck
It is a complete globohomo cabal that advocates against capitalism and all these other things: these people wanted to restrict the development/control of nuclear weapons to the UN and threaten every other country with strategic nuclear bombing to enforce their global homo ideals.
Offshore accounts havenβt been a thing for 20+ years since the Global War on Terror forced banks to open their books to governments in the name of combating terrorism funding. Any company that isnβt paying a dime in taxes while bringing in billions of dollars is doing it legally through various tax schemes that come with having complex tax systems that attempt to be friendly to small businesses and 1099 individuals
Europe is basically a NEET state; they don't do or build anything. They're like an "artist" who is the offspring of a wealthy businessman (America).
A few of them are good but yeah I shouldn't have been so blanketed about it
The government loses federal tax potential from tax deferral on non US profits but yeah, you're right about your tax thing and it probably is the majority of cases. Just highlighting that the system isn't really working as intended as you are too
I don't expect corps to take care of people, moreso the government that is supposed to. That tax deferral thing I mention could be considered negligible compared to the amount of $ the gov wastes already but it's worth acknowledging if the gov isn't going to waste less soon
there is no ownership structure over the people: if we were all slaves in some parochial system the government would have incentives to take care of us. You have to choose serfdom if you have any desire for a welfare state.
The current structure of "democracy" is too low-time preference to produce solutions that work over generations.
And yeah if the pandemic didn't shutter the economy so bad this "CoL increase while wages and benefits stagnate" thing about the middle class wouldn't be as relevant as what you mention because inflation wouldn't be so bad but idk it is what It is
Always said this. Thank you.
Its a core function of a federal government as I see it. Everything youre obligated to pay dues towards that isn't outright making it's necessity clear is /supposed/ to be partially used in an aim to protect you so you can keep giving back to it. Insurance, tax, etc.
Also, Isn't that the complaint republicans have? That instead this taxed money is being used for their explicit nonbenefit to "fund baby killing, gender switching, feeding useless black mouths, etc". Like i'm not advocating to just raise taxes so much as I am redistributing our spending
Like how are we supposed to incentivize this capitalistic body that has the final say over us in the first place, I'm not sure how that suggests they don't 'own' us. Don't pay your taxes when you make a ton and see what happens
How about instead of high taxes paying for a security net (doesnβt even work) you just force companies to hire US employees. People always like to talk about boomers and how much money they made compared to inflation but that was because there were no β β β β β β β β βfree tradeβ agreements that made it so middle class workers in America were now competing with Mexicans
Imagine if your security net was a pension for working for 25 years and worse case you could just get a job somewhere else that would pay for your bills
