watched outlaw king and rewatched the king tonight both are pretty good. anyone have any other good medieval setting movies?
@insom, very underrated film, fills the hole braveheart left in my heart with it's mangling of history
i think i can count on one hand the number of times a movie or show has shown a ditch as a fieldwork. they were used constantly especially in siege defense or against superior cavalry
Surely they're aware and just lazy
thanks, I will check this out
oh it’s that movie with Chris Pine, yeah I’ve been meaning to watch that
there was this long siege the ottomans did against some smallish castle and the guys inside defended like champs
when they knew it was lost they lit basically a time bomb made out of gunpowder
they did a suicide charge and all died, the ottomans entered the castle/fort to check out their new possesion
it then exploded killing hundreds or even thousands of them
cant remember the fucking name of the castle but that shit deserves a movie
Just watched The Hobbit again and am starting on LOTR again.
It's making me realize how many movies today are such shit compared to the classics.
Lord of the Rings is a great exception to that statement.
Well done, and true to the books for the most part.
and arguably the greatest original score of all time
