This is exactly why I say dota is a dying game and a game like CS still has a huge and loyal fanbase. Imagine you changed the AK47 to add a scope and become a long range awp substitute, or patch the awp to become semi auto but lose half of its damage? This is some really fucking stupid shit like why don't you stupid fucking apes just make a new hero instead of constantly reworking old assets? Stupid fucks. You're just chasing away old players who can't play the game how they are used to playing in the past + taking on the risk of assuming this new method is gonna be more popular than the players who drop off because of this autistic design nonsense. MORONS.

BR is in my top 5 most played heroes in dota, and let me tell you the hero is fucking NOTHING like what he used to be. You could take OG br and introduce him into the game as new hero, the only similar skill is firefly being able to ignore terrain and lasso grabbing heroes, other than that they've fuckin modified everything else, like stop being little bitches and just make a new hero, or introduce like alt styles as they do in other games. None of my heroes exist in dota anymore.

I hated the facets but not any more. I’ve found I don’t really care about any decisions that were made in dota now and just consider it a video game

I think when I played a few games recently I still found enough of the old identity that I didn’t hate it
But I have felt that very strongly where they kill a game’s identity for no reason and then there is nothing to come back to when you want to play it again. I think I felt that strongest with tf2 and community servers
Community servers were the backbone of tf2 and they killed them for no reason basically

They can be broken. The Dragon Knight facets are cool. I like the acid one or green one where all his attacks become physical, it shits on pudge

I’ve actually been playing more tf2 than I have in a long time and I’ve almost come around to them. MM has become low level pubs. It’s mega easy to requeue, the coordinator does a pretty good job of keeping the lobby full. I want to believe that valve fucked over the server browser in multiple games for a good reason.
Also, it is really sick to be able to use a server browser outside of valve games. Can join 1.6 or whatever lobbies and I don’t need it idle in the game to get in a server. People forget when you had to leave your game open to queue up for a full lobby only to get kicked because someone auto joined at the same time and have to do it again.

How to avoid buying bkb? Easy just play low mmr Dota and be a useless carry who baits your team to play 4v5 and once the other team is so bad they don't dominate 4v5 but actually have an even match up, then you come in and tilt the battle in your favor.

The point though is that they killed those communities (which were the backbone of their game) rather than the mechanics of how browsing servers worked

Like if I want to go back I can't because my friends aren't there, my old stomping grounds aren't there, if I find new stomping grounds it probably doesn't work the same/can't survive long because community server stuff changed
Idk what they've been up to lately with the server browser part of it - the point is that when the people are gone, they are gone for good
