You recalibrated at least twice since this stopped counting, I think.
Here's what I would do.
Pick some player with a known MMR around 5k: Assume a standard distribution with known mu=MMR and an unknown theta.
Utilize bayesian modeling/bayesian crank to determine the value of theta by going through their games and updating the posterior by the players they're matching with. Once you're confident in the value of theta, do the same for me with known theta and an unknown mean.
