they're producing it ahead of time. i know several are already producing millions rn even before the trials are over. ppl are on the ball for this rn.
there hasn't been a demand such as this for a vaccine so things are moving quicker than people would anticipate
Pandemic experts have all said don't expect anything in under a year and a half, but maybe pressure is so high that we are able to do that, who knows
People are still going to die - yes itβs true.
it's kinda like how Blizzard says WoW servers will be down for 8 hours but they're really down for 1 hour
Not even Jesus survived and he had a hell of support system behind him.
Those people are looking at things historically and they're trying to give their best estimate.
with like 30 vaccines entering phase 2/3 simultaneously i think it's likely at least 1 passes
also if we find a good treatment and can come up with a rapid spit test that is accurate then the need for vaccine goes down a lot
Jesus survives in 1 way and 1 way only: librul tears ofc MAGA
MN opened up ICUs for non-corinavirus patients and now we're nearly at pre-surge capacity which is slightly concering, but considering we can more than double that capacity in less than 24 hours and the virus hasn't been growing exponentially in months, it's probably just a new linear baseline of growth
For some reason Minnesota is still sending patients to nursing homes and killing them though!
Just saying I heard somebody sneeze when I was at the beach friday
you have to also consider that you wont see the real growth until a month after things ease up.
also a lot of ppl are still social distancing but as things open up and ppl get false sense of security even those who are still practicing social distancing and staying home will eventually go back out
Maryland opened back up on the 14th so i'm expecting our numbers to go quite high sometime next month.
Tho our 2 biggest counties are staying closed for the time being
You would begin to see positive percentages of tests increase, and that hasn't happened in places that opened up over a month ago
Lots of dumb news headlines like "Georgia sees new highest positive test count after reopening" and then not mentioning that they also tested several thousand more people per day than they had been
yea if you only look at numbers then numbers will either stay the same or rise due to more testing and like 35% ppl being asymptomatic or not symptomatic enough
but if you look at hospital ## that's more indicative i'd say
Hospital ICU capacity and ventilator capacity is all that matters
i'm expecting a big surge next month. i really hope i'm wrong
80% of people who need a ventilator die anyways so that's probably closer to an irrelevant statistic
