He did defend himself. You also weren’t listening to me and blatantly lying about some kind of communication with Alightsoul. I know this is some kind of “isn’t it cool that I read Alightsoul and also read his mind to make him vote epok?” but you never refuted why Alightsoul had a weak read and he never agreed with you and copped Benny on N1.
I take no offense. I think you’re a better player. I also don’t know why you aren’t more modest about your mistakes – but ultimately I don’t care if you do admit them or not. I enjoy playing with you but I agree with the others, that game got out of hand with you and Benny.
@SOPHIE actually encouraging hosts not to allow goyclub to sign sounds like a way to make these games 100% better.
Alright, now we’re arguing about in-game actions rather than the illogical “You posted too much” argument. I am very happy to explain what I did.
I claimed what I did because I wanted to claim that I was masons with Wintermute day 2, it started off very early with me saying “Wintermute is not alightsoul” and I kept it going until day 2 where I straight up claimed mason.
I did this for two reasons:
- To get a read on Wintermute
- To see how people react to me blatantly lying - and if they can Deduce from my Quite Obvious (I thought so at least) breadcrumb trail that I was trying to Imply that I’m wintermute’s mason partner.
It’s an easy tell in games like this to see who has carefully read the setup and knows the possibilities and who hasn’t, as it gives hints to their motivations and how much attention they’ve been paying to the game.
I’m sorry, but it really is impossible for you to participate in this argument because you played the whole game from a different perspective.
I had that idea. I kind of suspected you’d claim masons. But why Alightsoul would use you as the conduit made no sense rofl.
The scenario I had in mind was that I was doing this without his Permission per se, that I was a “Rogue Mason”.
Mafia is a role playing game after all, and Lying isn’t inherently a bad thing when you really think about it.
I could also see scum claiming masons too though.
Yes, that is true, it is true with every setup with Masons involved - the onus is on the town to read if the mason claimers are town or not, and if they had been playing like it from the start or if it is a recently conceived plan they made up in the scum chat.
In addition, it runs a great risk of being called out by the real masons and losing two mafia players immediately.
It also essentially links the two scum together, effectively reducing the mafia count by 1.
Also; if mafia does not have Day chat they have no way of Truly confirming that they’re both masons (by posting the same message at the same time when asked to do so (so they don’t agree on a certain time and message the night before in mafia chat) )
I try to be modest - but when I get accused of game ruining and trolling by people who refuse to argue about it or think logically, how could I? Thanks for actually responding to my posts for a change though.
But it said that you got pre-game chat. And in that scenario I imagined Alightsoul claiming dominance and making you play the quiet one. For another example of that see D2.
In the end I ruled that possibility out.
Yes, that’s what I mean: I acted as if I took his reads from the private mason chat and posted them even though he didn’t want me to - I kept claiming that he was going to lynch epok to Push His Buttons in a way, and to see how everyone will react to such Ludicrous ideas.
The results from that proved quite helpful in the long run, no matter how everyone dismissed it as spam trolling ruining.
I hope I have explained my actions well enough to show why I react like I do when people accuse me of ruining the game on purpose.
But then what transpired during your pre-game chat?
I’ll tell you how it’d really go down. Alightsoul would tell you to shut the fuck up and let him do the smooth-talking.
Hahaha! That’s actually a detail that I had missed, I had assumed masons were normal and not pre-game + night-only!
See; nobody pointed that out either, which is quite ironic.
For not noticing that I blame the poor layout of the wiki - nowhere it says that masons were night only other than the Mason role PM itself, why would I not assume that they were standard masons?
Anyways, that is besides the point: I think that the issue most people have doesn’t actually concern the game actions themselves, I don’t think they even remember them as well as you and I do, Matticus.
All I see is complaining about the post count; which had been happening since the old forum and still is, usually by the people who are the least active and make that up as an excuse for their inactivity.
