See and I started by reading Roragokās rules (better from my perspective just in case his differs somehow), which is why I missed the randomization rules when I mentioned your PR claim.
What a shame, I think the setup was slightly responsible in how the game turned out too to be quite honest. Just look at the wiki page, how would a new player play with that?
And then you have people like @yns who donāt even try to understand the setup and how the rolls work.
A shame, but the bigger shame is when people blindly sheep the idea that Benny and I were ruining the game and āle trolingā when I personally spent so much time and effort into the game and trying to win it.
The post count complaint was basically debunked on the old forum, I think it will just take a while for people to get used to forum mafia - notice how none of the old players are actually complaining, they are just supporting new players.
I say it again: People who are accustomed to games like Throne of Lies (nothing against that game, itās just a totally different thing than this) are just going to have to adapt to forum mafia and learn the fact that no matter what is being talked about - they are still free to say whatever and talk to whoever etcā¦
And If it takes 48 hours for the day to end, you should try to read as much as you can. You will most likely be able to read every post three times over, and think about them and come to conclusions 10 times over.
We should not support people being Lazy or Giving up and going afk. Remember LBJ?
One last thing:
If anyone else wants to tell me how I āruined the gameā; just say how I did and and make sure I havenāt already responded to that argument.
The forum software estimates a total read time of 57 minutes for the entirety of day 1.
If you canāt dedicate 57 minutes (duration of one dota game + queue time) out of 48 hours for the game you signed up for, then you have your own problems and shouldnāt blame others for it.
The beauty of mafia lies in one Core aspect; itās a Long, multi-day Roleplaying real time Strategy team based PvP Game with no Dungeon Master, you are Truly Free to do whatever you want, and whatever it takes in order to win.
And what makes it even better is that - when you play with the same people so many times - the same Strategies will only work so many times; So you have to change it up, and constantly adapt and improve.
With seemingly endless different setups for the game, Mafia might be the deepest and most complex social multiplayer game out there.
Itās annoying that people donāt realize this. You are with 12 other roleplayers for 48 hours ; none of them can affect you in any way - play the game.
If you give up and go afk, then you should be subbed. Plain and simple, you sign a game you play it.
Sorry for rambling on, but I think another thing needs to be addressed:
You should not label something as game ruining just because it didnāt win. That is Survivor Bias.
When I claimed Serial Killer in DonnerParty Mafia and won, nobody had any complaints - but now itās terrible game ruining? Sometimes games donāt go perfectly according to plan, yes - but there are uncountable factors to the gameās final result (the least important part of the game). Unfortunately people only remember the biggest events, and not even their details - let alone smaller events.
Inexperienced players are obviously more prone to making such biased mistakes, but that is obviously improved through experience, and not through changing the gameās rules, fundamentals, and standards.
Iām certainly realizing that, which is why I wonāt be signing games with you. If I can avoid signing up for something that puts you and me in the same room I probably will. If you think I didnāt try to defend myself I think youāre just too deluded that I definitely did, many times over.
Make out of strategy accusations while you lead a lynch on me while refusing to respond to me is strategic how, in the Event that I am actually town And You Are Town Talking To Town (You Imbecile)
I'm not sure which post you're responding to here, but you constantly avoided and ignored 90% of the arguments presented against you and strawmanned all the way - I am not going to detail it all, you can revise it yourself and see why multiple people had scum read you.
Just caught up and decided to piss on your parade again before you got off thinking that you were actually right. You played incredibly antitown, and I think everyone should think twice before signing a game with you and benny in the future.
The funny thing is - you yourself admitted that you āwerenāt readingā my posts, how do you piss on my parade if you havenāt even read the posts? Youāre contradicting yourself.
You were wrong on every lead you had minus slowdive, the brand new first time mafia player (who still beat you by the way). You do not get a pass becuase you made some right call on day 1. If you had the opportunity to lead town correctly and you fucked up and you taught things to people that were wrong (dont engage with players that are mafia -> oh shit it turns out i actually cant know who is mafia) i think youre just being a really bad player. That aside, thats not really the reason I think youāre awful to play with
You led people to make mistakes, and essentially just overposted to the point where you derailed any other discussion. People didnt get any other leads, you were āsparringā with me where we just posted at eachother and you didnt listen to me until I died. Itās even worse that you bring such hubris to the post-game. This is awful for other people, and I dont know how you dont realize this.
