You shouldnt be having a prize pool if 40 dollars is making or breaking your rent
Feel free to pitch your own then.
Honestly I'm not good at picking when there's infinite options, I get overwhelmed. Open to suggestions, if you know a good setup then link it and we can play it next. Wouldn't mind a break from signals type games.
mafiascum approved has a healthy list at 9+ players. most i've tried here have been pretty balanced and i dont mind running any of them
i think matrix setups are best for competitive play as you can't just look back on previous games and copy their exact town strategy
vanilla town was working on a flow chart setup instead of matrix
I'm down for this or the flowchart game.
I tend to like home-brewed games because I think copying a setup from some other site/mafia wiki stifles the creative spirits of our players. Signals-likes are great in this regard but have to be balanced with something a little less zany
The flow chart was an interesting idea but needs to be more challenging to navigate - I solved it in a matter of minutes in the signup thread. Maybe involving some sort of cypher could do the trick
I like matrix games. Semi-open games are my favorites.
I invented the binary mafia tree, not nmaGane.
ok
How did you know
The example tree posted was a quick mock-up by me, the final version will be computer generated. We're working with @Matticus (as a mafia expert, not a programmer) on the algorithm for game balance.
Please generate and post some trees ahead of the game
We're hosting a matrix game first.
I forget if I said no cop or not. I believe I said "no"
Let's face it. The Prize pool thing is a joke.
It hasn't attracted any new players.
And it will never be payed out.
Just play some mafia games.
It's a result of dysfunctional administration and leadership (@activechoicetostopputtingmyselfthroughth).
That's not true. It is revitalizing our community and it just barely started (real league begins this Fall). All we need are some good signups/hosts
