i imagine if 50% of people in my state are getting WIC then 15% is not out of the question in regards to the amount on the dole.

Essential workers do not exclusively marry other essential workers. That was my question; plus how many of these double-essential households have no older child to help babysit?
It's all very specific and isn't really evaluated in any "studies"
I guess my economic beliefs would lead me to believe that giving stimulus checks to said people would be more efficient than having the public school system feed their children.

Yeah but their spouse often can't work from home either. In a perfect world they could work their schedules together but that's often not the case. Plus this is besides the point I think. In a scenario with two siblings stuck at home without parents neither of them are actually being properly nurtured and occupied.
Me and my brother were home alone every day and we just played on the computer all day.
